The minister of transport surprises the workers in Al Shohadaa station and directs to add more trains in the stations which witness congestion as the employees get out of their works.
The Minister of Transport, Lt. Gen. Engineer / Kamel Al-Wazir made a surprise inspection tour of the Al-Shuhada Metro Station (interchange between the first and second lines), at 4:30 in the afternoon to follow up on the regularity of the metro movement and providing all facilities to the passengers. The minister inspected the station and witnessed the passing of more than 10 trains in the first and the second lines. He directed the metro leaders to add more trains immediately for the stations witnessing crowds in conjunction with the exit of employees from the authorities, companies and the ministries in addition to existing metro leaders in all stations to follow up the movement of passengers and setting reports to him about metro movement of the three lines all the day as well as taking all needed measures to combat coronavirus: cleaning and continuous disinfection of stations and trains. During his meeting with a number of passengers, the minister was keen to emphasize the importance of wearing masks to protect from coronavirus and the importance of continuous hand disinfection with alcohol, pointing out that the ministry of transport is carrying out continuous disinfection and sterilization of trains and all workers of the ministry are serving the Egyptian citizen. Then the minister went to Masr railway station to make sure of cleaning the station and check the schedule of operation especially for the next days, Stressing to raise the maximum degree of readiness in preparation for passenger travel on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, and to take all necessary measures to make passenger travel easy, as well as continuous disinfection for stations and trains to combat the Corona virus.
